Start with the system requirements

Provide the required cooling and heating duties, entering and leaving water temperatures, design outdoor temperature and available electrical supply. Building area alone is not enough to confirm a chiller selection. Existing fan coils, air handling units, pumps and controls also need to be considered.

Compare the available models

The CLS-F65HW/ZR1B, CLS-F130HW/ZR1B and CLS-F260HW/ZR1B catalogue models list 65, 130 and 260 kW cooling capacities respectively. Their published supply is 380–415 V, three-phase with neutral, 50 Hz. Ask for a separate selection if your project has different power or operating conditions. Catalogue capacity is a starting point, not a guarantee at every site condition.

Air-cooled chiller procurement for commercial projects

For a new chilled-water system, a modular plant expansion or a commercial chiller replacement, identify the equipment scope before requesting a price. Tongxing can discuss the published models against your project brief.

What is an air-cooled chiller?

An air-cooled chiller supplies chilled water and rejects heat to outdoor air through its condenser. The building still needs a coordinated water circuit and terminal equipment. For a commercial chiller enquiry, state the required water temperatures and site conditions as well as capacity.

How much does an air-cooled chiller cost?

A project price depends on the selected duty, configuration, quantity and supply scope. Ask for an itemised equipment quotation and identify pumps, controls, freight and site work separately. A published capacity alone is not enough to quote a complete chilled-water system.

New plant or modular expansion?

For a new plant, separate chillers from pumps, water treatment, distribution pipework and site controls in the enquiry. For expansion, provide the existing module schedule and control sequence. Ask how the proposed equipment will be coordinated with the installed plant; matching nominal capacity does not establish compatibility.

How should I compare chiller quotations?

Compare each selection at the same leaving-water temperature, outdoor temperature and fluid conditions. Request the proposed model, available capacity, input power and included accessories at the specified duty. A low equipment price is not a like-for-like comparison if pumps, controls or delivery scope differ.

What is needed for a replacement chiller quote?

Send the existing nameplate, water connections, installation footprint, electrical supply and access constraints. State the required outage window and who will manage the changeover. Your local engineer should confirm whether the original design duty still represents the building’s needs.
